Hi.

Welcome to my corner of North Georgia. I document my adventures and outdoor activities in hopes of inspiring others to make the most of each day. It is my goal to make hiking accessible and non-intimidating, while promoting responsible enjoyment of the environment. No trail is too short!

Flying Leap

Flying Leap

I actually had a blog when I was in college. It was not about hiking because I didn't do much of that then. I worked A LOT and went to class. But my point is, I had a blog. In 2004. It was not tech savvy but I do wish I had kept it up. It would be a relic now. Then in 2015, I started another blog focused on hiking and travel. I've maintained that one fairly well and want to continue what I started there. A lot has changed and improved in my life over the years, but unfortunately my tech savvy-ness has not. Despite that, I am taking a flying leap and trying to bring my blog into the 21st century. What was known as "The Green Pack Blog" is transforming into "Weeknight Hiker" because that is more reflective of how I have been spending my time recently and what I hope to encourage others to do. Sure, I still hike on the weekends (much to the neglect of my errands and house), but I am trying to make the most of my time no matter where I am or what I am doing. So, dear readers, I ask for your patience as I continue the transition to a new platform and website. Hopefully I will not be spending all my time figuring out tech stuff and still have time to hike! All previous posts from The Green Pack Blog can be found under the "Past Adventures" page. Cheers!
